Risky play denotes a situation whereby a child has the opportunity to recognize and evaluate a challenge and decide on a course of action. In some cases, risky play can include the possibility of minor or serious physical injury.
The Alberta Risky Play Network receives periodic updates about risky play in Alberta, along with new resources and updates on related IPC activities. Network members are invited to participate in working groups that focus on developing and implementing risky play projects.
