Brain Waves is a free neuroscience-based educational program developed by leading neuroscientists at the University of Toronto. Since 2005, engaging, informative and passionate volunteers have brought the program to students in grades 4 to 6.

The Injury Prevention Centre has developed this toolkit to help elementary educators teach the importance of injury prevention in alignment with the Alberta Education Curriculum. The toolkit includes resources that support different types of learners, including kinesthetic, auditory, visual, and social learners.

Finding Balance is an education program and public awareness campaign designed to educate and empower older Albertans to stay independent and prevent falls.

For National Poison Prevention Week, the Injury Prevention Centre and our partners will be focusing on sharing messages with parents and caregivers to prevent medication poisoning in children.

Prescription for Safety (P4S) is a set of easy-to-understand resources designed for professionals who work with families, such as doctors, nurses, teachers, social workers, and childcare providers to start conversations with parents and caregivers about preventing childhood injuries.

The School Physical Activity, Health, & Education Resource for Safety guidelines have been developed to assist school authorities in their formulation of site-specific safety guidelines for physical activity in Alberta schools.
